SEIU Members Join John Deere Members on the Picket Line
Striking members at John Deere continue to see support from other union members across the country. On Friday, October 22, 2021 Service Employees International Union joined members in Denver, Colorado. Over the next week all across the country SEIU members are planning additional support.
- SEIU Colorado joined the picket line in Denver on Friday.
- SEIU Local 513 (Wichita) will join the Coffeyville, KS picket line on Wednesday, 10/27.
- SEIU Iowa has been arranging supplies for strikers and joined one the picket lines last Thursday with folks from Catholic Worker and CCI. Local 199 President Barb Stanerson has been out of town but was planning to join the picket lines this weekend.
- All 3 major SEIU Locals in IL have pledged to join the picket lines, and they are coordinating their efforts. HCII has members in the Moline (Quad Cities) area and are organizing them to show their support. Dian P has asked Stacia Scott from her staff to reach out to UAW to figure out best time/sites and center the support work across the 3 Locals.
